Aspects of Art

Thank you for venturing into my website which is a unique collaboration of art pieces and my legal viewpoint on a range of topics.

My art is inspired by the stories I hear as a lawyer. My meeting with a client is often the first time a concern is verbalised. I see, feel and hear raw emotions. This I translate onto my canvas. My art is therefore about people. And my articles are written for people.

I am privileged to be in a space of trust where I can advise, write, paint and help. The insights I am given into the lives of people enable me to think ahead for them, pre-empt directions and suggest ways to address issues before they arise.

My articles serve this purpose.

The combination of the art and articles is just my way of sharing some thoughts and conclusions I have come up with through years of lawyering and living.

The inspiration behind an art piece find their roots in my views and values; they are my formula for happiness and peace of mind. They are beliefs that I hold dearly.

What is in it for me is that I am able to create art, write and share, all three being my passion. One feeds the other, and this website of thoughts, feelings, art and articles is its product.

Also I have the chance to help charities. Happily for me and with much gratitude to the buyers of my paintings, the number of charities I have been able to raise donations for increases. My favourite charity is the one I work with most as a board member, the Ronald McDonald House Charity Singapore. My legal background allows me to chair its governance committee and the charity events present the platform for me to help raise funds from the sale of paintings.
