Art and I found each other late in life, on my 47th birthday. I regarded it as a gift at a time when I would be able to use it meaningfully.
Art taught me to think out of the box. As my creativity developed, so did my ability to come up with holistic rather than just legal answers. As Art added another dimension to my life, I was correspondingly able to add new depth to my legal practise.
Art too presented to me a novel way to channel my charitable efforts. Up until then, it had been confined largely to the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Singapore where I am a Board Member. Asked by charities, I am now able to give paintings to be auctioned off. Also I am able to donate the proceeds from the sale of my paintings to charities of my choice.
I thank every kind soul who has made this possible, and especially the buyers of my paintings. The beneficiaries are
> Breast Cancer Foundation
> Children's Cancer Foundation
> World Wildlife Fund
>School Pocket Money Fund
> Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA)
> Ronald McDonald House Charity Singapore
> Rainbow Centre, Singapore.
This was a unique collaboration with a student of the school where we created a mixed media piece on a chair. The photograph is placed above.
My hope is for this list to grow.
Do contact me if you would like me to make a donation of a painting.
